Johann Kim (Lead Pastor) and Grace Kim
Pastor Johann (January 4, 1954 - April 20, 2019) moved to Cincinnati with his wife, Grace, in 1988 to join the Physics faculty of the University of Cincinnati. In 1990, both Pastor Johann and Grace encountered Jesus. Ever since, they have had a great love for His Word and sharing the Good News with people who are far from Christ. In 1999, they began to minister in Over-the- Rhine, walking the streets and sharing the Gospel. Since then, they have ministered in OTR as tent-making, inner-city missionaries. They moved to OTR in 2008 upon completing renovations for the house they bought in 2005 (now known as Vine House). They have two adult sons, Eugene (married to Jean, daughters Evangeline and Emmanuelle) and Michael. Pastor Johann went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2019.

Christine Yun (Staff)
Christine graduated from Boston University with a BA in psychology and served on staff with InterVarsity for one year. Through an Elijah and Samuel-like moment, God then led her to OTR and after serving two years as a missionary intern, she fell in love with OTR and came on staff in 2015. She primarily oversees the children's and teen's ministry, after-school programs and campus ministry at UC. Christine desires to see a genuine hunger and thirst for Christ and restoration in the youth and families of OTR.
Christine loves to snack, is an amateur baker and runner, and loves the Midwest!
Briana Haggerty (Intern)
Briana graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 with a degree in Visual Studies. During her time in Philadelphia she served at Grace Covenant Church. She began to have a heart for inner-city and intercultural ministry in high school when she participated in The Hartford Project summer missions trip with her youth group. Since then she has continued to pursue God's heart for cities and is excited to see how he reveals more of his steadfastness, beauty, and mystery in OTR.
Isaac Vazquez (Worship Leader)
Isaac graduated in 2014 with a B.A. in Intercultural Studies and World Missions. Currently, he is pursuing his Masters of Divinity at Cincinnati Bible Seminary. He met his wife, Esther, while serving together in OTR and they feel privileged to be able to join in with what God is doing in OTR.
Hanvit Oh (Intern)
Hanvit is from Korea and grew up in Minnesota. She invited Christ fully into her life in San Diego, where she studied Global Health at UCSD with the hope of using her studies for God’s mission. God called her to Over the Rhine because this was the place she tangibly felt glimpses of heaven on this broken earth. She has a heart for the underserved population, health of families, and maternal child health. Her greatest passion is for people to have a redeemed relationship with Christ.
Jonathan Mendez (Intern)
Jon graduated from UC San Diego in 2016 with a B.S. in General Biology. Originally pursuing a career in medicine, Jon found a passion in teaching youth in urban cities. In 2017, Jon came to Cincinnati to serve with OTR Living Water Church as an intern, reading out to children, refugees, and men through the redemptive power of the gospel. Jon hopes for children and families here to see and know the love of our spiritual Father.
Chris Pender (Intern)
Chris graduated from Emory in 2014. He served at Journey Church of Atlanta for 3 years after graduation. Through serving at JCA and in local justice organizations, he has found a joy in God's constant presence in difficult circumstances and Christ's overwhelming sufficiency. After going to OTR in 2016 for summer missions and experiencing the intimate power of God, Chris is returning to be an intern and serve at OTR!
Sarah Kim (Intern)
Sarah graduated from Biola University in 2018 with Christian Ministry emphasis in Children's Ministry. She is originally from the Bay Area, but moved to Southern California for college and interned at Church of Southland (children's ministry) for a year. Her passion for long term missions started in 2014 and through prayer and discernment was able to come to OTR. She is hoping to learn more of what ministry is and to see God's great work in the inner city.
